Copperleaf’s interactive parks bring unique experiences to the community
Enjoy Copperleaf’s themed-neighborhood parks.
unincorporated ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — June 5, 2006 —Copperleaf is an 850-acre community, located just off E-470 and Quincy, where everyday living will offer something special. At Copperleaf, tree-themed neighborhoods will feature single-family homes and townhomes priced from the mid $200s to $700s. Copperleaf will also be home to more than 50 acres of parks and open space and more than 10 miles of trails, creating a rich diversity of natural and built environments that both define and distinguish the entire community.
One of the most unique and rewarding aspects of living at Copperleaf is the creative integration of nature into the residential neighborhoods and neighborhood parks or recreation areas.
The Arboretum
Copperleaf's proposed swim club, The Arboretum, will provide the centerpiece for the entire community located in the Aspen Neighborhood, creating an ideal destination for community events, programs and family get-togethers. The Arboretum, planned for 2008, will feature a 25-yard pool and a large youth pool. Other amenities include a community room, Splash Park with interactive water-play features, onsite showers and changing facilities, combination hockey/basketball court and playground.
President’s Park
History can be so much fun in Cherry Neighborhood’s Presidential Park. Cherry trees provide the natural tie to the nation’s first president, while a themed tot playground and "Presidents Walk of Fame" create a fun and interactive environment for kids to learn and play. Beazer’s single-family homes priced from the low $300s are coming to the Cherry Neighborhood in spring 2007.
Geology Park
Hawthorne Neighborhood’s Geology Park gives children and adults lots of ways to enjoy the natural elements, including a rock climbing wall and rock outcroppings. A play field offers a fun and exciting environment for young geology enthusiasts to dig and explore. Richmond American Homes feature single family homes priced from the mid $300s in the Hawthorne Neighborhood.
Prehistoric Park
Residents can stroll through Linden Neighborhood's Prehistoric Park, which will include dinosaur climbers, featured dinosaur fossils and fun, themed playgrounds for kids. Meritage Homes, coming spring 2007, will offer single-family homes priced from $250s - $265s in the Linden Neighborhood.
Western Park
Ponderosa pines anchor the Ponderosa Neighborhood and provide the basis for the family-oriented Western Park. The park will feature various "wild west" plantings as well as a family-friendly playground "corral" with cow climbers and a western shelter.
Ecological Park (Wetland Preserve)
Families can walk along the wetland’s edge and enjoy native wildlife at Cottonwood Neighborhood’s Ecological Park. Kids can play on the interactive wetland wildlife sculptures along the soft surface trail or run around in the open play field located in the center of the park. Single-family homes priced from the $255-$315 from Capital Pacific Homes will arrive in the Cottonwood Neighborhood in spring 2007.
Copperleaf Community Parks
Home to the proposed community park on Picadilly Street, the Arapahoe Parks and Open Space District will offer a wide range of activities for kids of all ages to enjoy, including basketball courts, picnic areas and numerous trailheads. It also provides convenient access to the Copperleaf Wildland Trail Open Space Corridor.
Copperleaf Dog Park
The proposed Copperleaf Dog Park provides a perfect canine oasis for furry friends to romp and fetch off-leash, while residents enjoy the natural beauty of an inviting park-like environment. Current plans include approximately 1.5 acres of space for Fido and his pals, with lots of shade and watering holes.
