Distinctive Copperleaf Community Opens with Richmond American Homes
Copperleaf Community welcomes visitors and future residents to the neighborhood with the Grand Opening of Richmond American Homes.
DENVER, Colo. — May 8, 2006—South Quincy Residential Developers, Inc. announces the opening of their newest community, Copperleaf, on Saturday, June 10th as Richmond American breaks ground in the first neighborhood.
Copperleaf is an 850-acre community where everyday will offer something special. This distinctive community, just off E-470 and Quincy, will provide an abundance of shopping, playing and relaxing with family and friends. As the community builds out, residents will be able to stroll through the planned parks and open space, relax at the planned Arboretum Swimming Pool and Clubhouse or cruise along the trails. Copperleaf plans for endless outdoor adventures, some of the best schools in the Cherry Creek School District, a variety of homes from the mid $200s, the ideal location… a place where residents will be connected to their neighbors and their neighborhood.
Copperleaf Master Plan
Copperleaf offers a unique setting built upon Colorado’s natural surroundings. One of the most unique and rewarding aspects of living at Copperleaf is the creative integration of nature into the neighborhoods. Each Copperleaf neighborhood is named after a particular tree, which in turn provides the basis for area landscaping designs as well as themed features and elements within each neighborhood park or recreation area.
Parks and open space plans highlight interactive parks with a variety of recreational activities and educational resources planned for children of all ages. The open spaces will give residents the opportunity to walk, run or bike along trails that connect to Copperleaf Wetlands Park and Restoration area. Even dogs enjoy Copperleaf with the future Bark Park.
The Arboretum, planned for the Aspen Neighborhood, will provide a gathering place for residents of all ages for community events and features the 25-yard community pool. The community pool also includes a large youth pool and “splash park” with multiple water play features, including slides, jumps and obstacles. Surrounded by a multitude of trees, the Arboretum is planned to be home to a community room with fireplace, quaint views, combination hockey/basketball court and tot lot park.
Location
Copperleaf provides the distinct advantage of being located within the premier “inner circle” of the E-470 corridor and provides convenient access to a wealth of resources, amenities and activities that include:
- Denver International Airport
- Southlands shopping plaza
- Denver Tech Center, Meridian Office Park, Fitzsimmons and Buckley Air Force Base
- University of Colorado Children’s Center
- Parker Adventist Hospital
- Cherry Creek and Aurora Reservoirs
- Plains Conservation Center

Education
Copperleaf is part of the renowned Cherry Creek School District. In fact, currently when buyers make Copperleaf their home, their children can begin attending these exceptional schools as soon as a contract is signed—even before they move in.
Sites for two Cherry Creek School District elementary schools are planned within walking distance for children in the Copperleaf Community.
Copperleaf extends its education principles through community-wide educational programs and resources, a planned Public Art Program and the nearby Plains Conservation Center.
Homes
Priced from the low $200s to the mid $600s, Copperleaf neighborhoods will feature single-family homes and townhomes from a variety of high-quality builders that include Richmond American, Beazer, Capital Pacific and Meritage, with other builders to be added in future phases. Copperleaf’s single-family homes feature classic architecture, oversized rooms and top-quality fixtures and appliances throughout.
